YOUR POSITION
Reports to the senior housekeeper and housekeeping manager and is relieved by a housekeeper as per vacation schedule.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
- Welcome guests at embarkation day and escort them to their staterooms.
- Daily clean and service up to 16 passenger staterooms following Uniworld and HACCP cleanliness and hygiene procedures.
- Set up staterooms according to the occasion (morning, turndown, embarkation, etc.) as per procedures.
- Participate in the daily cleaning of public areas, afternoon standby and in the daily laundry duties for table linen, towels, guests and crew laundry.
- Store housekeeping supplies and equipment as per procedures and cooperate in stock inventories.
- Handle housekeeping supplies and other working materials and maintenance of equipment according to guidelines.
- Report all defect materials, equipment and premises damage to the Front Desk and Housekeeper.
- Control the quality of service from external laundered items and report any anomalies to Housekeeper.
- Organize your work and manage your time according to the daily program.
- Distribute all written documentation and gifts to the staterooms. Take part in loading supplies for the ship and in luggage distribution if scheduled.
- Own and immediately report special requests and complaints to the Housekeeper.
- Be part of preparing the ship at the end of season for the start of season.

- Contribute to meetings and briefings and to other departments’ duties as coordinated.
- Practice the “Up serve” approach – increased cruise experience for the guests along with the impact on the onboard profit targets set by GRC.
- Comply with the maximum working hours per day/week/month given by law and announced by GRC, ensure that the accurate records are taken.
- Participate in any learning activity, trainings and program assigned, safety and emergency drills.
