Your Responsibilities
  • Welcome and farewell guests in each venue, taking and delivering food and drink orders promptly.
  • Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service in all Food & Beverage venues onboard, ensuring Uniworld standards and HACCP hygiene procedures are consistently followed.
  • Explain menus and beverage options, ensuring dietary requests are accommodated and guests are well informed of their choices.
  • Practice the “up serve” approach to elevate the guest experience while contributing to onboard profit targets.
  • A professional, guest-focused attitude with excellent attention to detail and service excellence.
  • Own and immediately report guest special requests or complaints to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Ensure all dietary requests are met and proactively inform guests of their available choices at each meal and inform your Restaurant Manager if needed.
  • Provide assistance to other departments as needed and as requested by your supervisor. 
Specific Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality best practices, trends in the food & beverage world, and guest engagement techniques.
  • Organize and manage your work effectively in line with the daily program, scheduled events, and assigned tasks.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness for glassware, china, cutlery, pantries, workrooms, and designated public areas.
  • Report defective materials, equipment, or damages to the Restaurant Manager or Front Desk.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality best practices, trends in the food & beverage world, and guest engagement techniques
  • Support in loading supplies, luggage distribution, and other cross-departmental duties as scheduled.
  • Actively participate in assigned learning activities, training sessions, and mandatory safety or emergency drills.
  • Be part of preparing the ship at the end of season for the start of season.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
